Target National Bank has a record on my credit report and I would appreciate if you would remove this off. It has been paid off and closed for 5 years and is counting against my credit. Please contact me back as soon as possible, so I don't have to take further action. Kathy Brandvik

IMO you immediately have to contact both the credit agency and the creditor. Once an account is closed, you have to make it sure that the creditor reports its updated status to the bureaus.

At times, not all the creditors report to all the bureaus, hence the updates may not appear in the reports of all the three bureaus.

If the problem persists, you may then need to file online complaint with the credit bureau.
