Here is a little insight into PDLs and internet marketing in general. One marketing type is Pay-per-click marketing. It's how Google and Yahoo make money. For example, go to Google and type Payday Loan. The results labeled "Sponsored Results" are companies that have chosen to have their advertisement appear for that term. The ads appear based mainly on "Bid Price". What this means, in Google or Yahoo they have set a price they are willing to pay for a click. So, while I would never encourage this  , if you click a sponsored result you will cost them money. Perhaps a new set of advertisers appear for the term "cash advance". Same thing. Click them, and it costs PDL money. Just a note, multiple clicks and jumping in and out does not cost them a fortune. Google recognizes this. If you liked their services, however, and wanted to visit them daily you would cost them $150 per month roughly. If there were a lot of you doing that, well, it would probably really alter their cost of doing business. Of course I would not encourage what is called click fraud if it is intentional and malicious, but visiting your favorite PDLs through a sponsored search result is always appreciated. After all, that's why the ads are so enticing.

I think ANYONE who has dealt with PDL's has SOME kind of 'expert advice' to give. Just my opionion.

James...egypt is right. Perhaps my "need to know" personality gets to be a bit much sometimes. It's just that this situation has become my lifes mission right now and any info that can help me accomplish that is on the top of my priority list. I can understand your position and am sure that you will divulge what you can, when you can, but my curiousity level is just getting the best of me. Keep the info coming. Thanks again.

egyptcrossarabs, I'm like you, I'm always asking questions. I think e-mailing Oprah was a great idea; maybe e-mail other talk shows, or the newstalk shows which appear on stations like CNN, MSNBC, etc, as well? As for James' knowledge, however he comes by it, I'm sure we're all grateful for any help we can get!

egypt...great idea! Perhaps some tv exposure would help shut these folks down. As for my curiosity, I have blessed with an abundance. I was married to a Police Detective for 26 years so that situation just reinforced my curiosty and desire to get to the bottom of things. Hopefully, it will become clear as the posts progress.

You are all correct in that visibility is needed. While television is an excellent form of communication, the internet is as well. This forum is an amazing source of knowledge, but unfortunately lacks the focus to attack each lender individually. For this reason, I am taking this cause and putting it right in front of the lender. I am not joking when I say the lender will feel pressure and you will see results. This forum represents only a small, yet determined, group of victims. It's time to go after lenders as a unified front. I plan to attack them by exposing every company that enables them, because they are legitimate companies and will not enjoy what's coming.
