Its a start but this is what I received in my email today, hoping to here soon from the AGs office.

From: (I blanked his name out), Mediator
BBB Serving Metropolitan New York

Case: ######
Interim Cash Ltd

Dear :

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has received your complaint. Thank you for granting us the opportunity to assist both you and the business to resolve this dispute. The BBB is currently presenting your complaint to the business; we will attempt to resolve this matter within six (6) weeks. A variety of factors may shorten or extend this time frame, notably the accessibility of the business about which you are complaining. Should you fail to hear back from the Bureau within this time frame, please feel free to contact your assigned mediator (listed above) through our general number, (212) 533-7500, by entering their name where prompted by the system.

The Better Business Bureau is a private, nonprofit organization without the powers of an enforcement agency; as such, we cannot compel a business to grant you a particular settlement. BBB mediation is a voluntary process. A central function of the dispute resolution process is to enhance communication between the parties and, in so doing, foster a greater appreciation of contradictory positions. Utilizing such efforts, we often attain a mutually satisfactory resolution of disputes brought to our attention. We hope that we are able to resolve this dispute as well.

Thank you for thinking of the Better Business Bureau.

Just to let you know what happened was I had a loan for $200 with Interim Cash, LTD. paying $60 every pay period. When i tried to call to get them to pay it off either I had to leave a message and or got hung up on. They continued to debit my account for almost a year and at one pint sent me an email stating my fee went from $60 to $35 every pay period since I was a valued customer-replied to the email and no response no calls etc., paid them $1200 and some change, until I recently closed my account.

Your not kidding frogpatch, I just hope something comes out of this with the BBB and AGs office. I actually just have to be thankful that they can't touch my account. The only thing I have been afraid of and trying to get info on is if these illegal companies can get CAs and if the CAs are somewhat reputable or legal what then? I never had to deal with anything like this before. If I had a debt like credit cards or hospital bills, the CAs worked something out with me or I didn't even get anything for at least 6 months to a year before it went to collections. These payday lenders go immediately it seems to a CA.
