Anyone heard of them? I just got a letter from them saying they are a collection agency for EdollarsDirect, saying I owe $320. The original loan was $200 and I paid them $900. Also te letter states they have reported my delinquency to the credit beraus..can they do that? I cant afford anymore bad marks on my credit.

Also anyone have their address or preferably email address?

hevnly, you received a letter from Advantis collecting for $320.00? Okay, if you received a letter from them, do they not have an address on the letter? They should have it on letterhead which would include their address and their telephone number. If you have this information, you need to slap a debt validation on them in writing. Look at your letter and let us know if it does indeed have an address and telephone number. Also, if you need a debt validation letter to send them, let us know.

hevnly, I'm laughing here! "Please and Thank you"! Deal with Advantis now - not EDollars. They've obviously turned you over to collections. Goody for them. You are now dealing with Advantis, okay? So, use their name, address, and phone number. As far as them saying they can hit your credit reports, they might. However, let me tell you, when it happened to me, I disputed the living hell out of it will all 3 credit bureaus (illegal debt/cannot collect) and it was deleted from all my reports fairly quickly. I would also file complaints against Advantis with the BBB and your state AG regarding this. Report these jerk offs for trying to collect on an illegal debt. I do have Edollars information if you want it. I duked it out with the credit bureaus AND the collection agency to get mine removed from my reports. So, you can do that also. I'm going to give you Edollars info just so you'll have it. You need to file complaints against them also. And, I can pm you a great DV letter if you like. You want me to pm it to you? It's rather long; however, it's a damn good one. Here's Edollars information:

EDollarsDirect
P.O. Box 750568
Las Vegas, NV 89136
(866) 396-5594

Crap! Have you requested copies of your credit reports (or looked on line at them) so that you can see exactly what is on there? If these are indeed pdls, you need to dispute the living HELL out of them! However, you will need to actually see your credit reports to see if the actual pdl reported you or if they had turned you over to a collection agency and they reported you. Have you seen your credit reports? Or can you access them on line?

hevnly, go to the forum Dealing with collection agencies & Credit (or something along those lines!). Post a new thread. The people on that forum can tell you exactly what you're looking at, what it means, and how to fix it. Okay? You'll get expert advice regarding your credit report and what you need to do there!

Thank You. Oh and I got screwed by freecreditreport.com. I clicked on free membership when I submitted the order it said my card would not be billed unless I didnt cancel in 7 days so I check my account and BAM $39.95 so i called the customer service tell them I want to cancel and ask when this charge would fall off she says oh thats the one time fee. So I had to pay the $39.95 when everyone keeps telling me its free once a year! ERRRRRRRR

Hopefully you can get that reversed...

The site I posted is the official site designed by all 3 credit bureaus (experian included) to give you the credit report you are entitled to by law once year (or per state guidelines).

Beware of other sites that promise a free report...but in the fine print you have to sign up or subscribe.

..and one more thing, were you denied insurance due to your credit? If so, you are entitled to a free report in that case as well.

Well Im on the phone with them now and they are saying that I didnt subscribe I just purchased the report but i went back to the screen I inputted my CC info and it says nothing about a charge only a membership. So now Im on hold for the second time.

I was not denied insurance but its really high so there was a link for me to find out how they used my credit to rate my insurance.

hevnly, the reason I filed complaints is because they were trying to collect on an illegal debt. That was enough of a reason for the BBB to contact them and also my state AG to contact them. Of course, send them the debt validation letter; however, with this being an illegal debt, I filed complaints and it worked in my favor.
