Hello all. I been using a Orchard bank Secured Mastercard for the last several months. It's been great, no problems at all. It's already improved my credit score by a few points!! Now i'm ready to add more money to this card and can't find any info on how to do this. Web site mentions I can add money but dosn't explain how. Called a few times but was on hold forever and hung up. Anyone know how to add cash to this card? Thanks for any info.

I don't fully understand. Is it a secured credit card or is it a prepaid debit card. There's a big difference between the two. If it is just a prepaid debit card than you could simply go to any ATM machine and make a deposit with one of the envelopes they provide you. How did you make your initial deposit when you started the account?

I'm glad things are working out with you, GUEST, with the Secured Card. I kind of DO wish now I ahd gotten accepted for the Secured Card, instead of the Unsecured. Gosh....the % is just REALLY high. Fees, etc. The %, on the Unsecured Card went up AGAIN...to 24%. Just seems impossible to 'catch up' on it if you're behind.

You can't add more money into a secured card (only a prepaid card). You can, however, ask the bank to increase your limit based on your good history with them. Generally, you can succesfully obtain an increase every 12 months as long as you kept up with the payments and you credit score is trending upward.

Yes you can add money to your account at ANY time you want. The limit is for Orchard Bank is $15,000. Deposits to your account must be in increments of $100.00. Orchard uses another bank to hold your deposit. You must send your money to them, and in turn, Orchard increases the limit on your card. Not sure what the other banks name is but it's in Nevada I believe. Call Orchard and they will give you instructions on how to do this.
