Update on Oakview Law

I am using Oakview Law for debt settlement. I had some concerns in the past with them.
When I first signed up I authorized a $900.00 payment to them on 03/09/08 which was a monday. They didn't take payment until the next Monday. I was led to believe that the power of attorney was sent quickly after payment. They never sent the power of attorney until april 2, 2008 almost a month after payment was allowed.
Now another payment is due and they were supposed to take it on april 14, 2008 now if they take it monday the 28th that will be 2 weeks since they were supposed to take it.
I have two support requests unanswered so far.
Then they wonder why I question there practices?
If I would never call or contact them, they would never contact me at all. I wonder if they ever talked to any of my creditors?
At this point I am concerned that they are going to make my situtation worse by taking sooooo long to take action on anything.

I posted this because I wanted to make evryone aware that if they intend to go with this company they can make a better informed decision.

We got your first payment made to OVLG on 3/12/2008. Please see the March trust account statement in your client area. We were sending the power of attorney to all your creditors. It took some time to reach to the right dept. of your creditors.

I had spoken with you about the Advanta account and we mutually agreed that after I have got the settlement offer from Advanta, we will take the next payment from you. This is because I wanted to show you results before taking your money. Since you were thinking of terminating our services in the beginning of this month, I wanted to get the settlement offer from Advanta. We are still working on this case.

Hello to all,
I had talked with nick over the phone about the above post. There was a misunderstanding about the payment situation for this month. All has been taken care of.
I will tell you this, they are starting to gain my confidence about what they are doing for my accounts.
As an update, all is settled and taken care of. This is all new ground for me and I am learning as I go. I hate to be such a pain with them.
They are doing everything they can to help me which is making me feel more comfortable about the whole situation.
Anyway, thanks for all.

Thanks X-ray for sharing your experience with us. Nice to know that things are improving fast for you :) As of your becoming a pain to them, IMO this feedback worth more than few good words. They are genuine. We all can have issues with the firms we work with, but the best way to solve it is by discussion.

Do keep us update.
