To be honest, I've started locking those threads when I see them, or simply deleting the post. That way the problem never starts.

If you are referring to my latest thread, I wasn't taunting the guest who was questioning me, I was replying to him. And I really do think I know him. I could be wrong though.

I was just talking in general terms not pointing anyone out. It's happening all over the board by various people.

I feel Sue's idea is best. I have been known to slam people who don't have any manners myself. I would just lock the topic and move on. Everyone should do their best to abide by the forum rules.

I don't think that anyone, guests mods, or registered members should taunt, attack, etc.
I try to lock down a thread if it gets out of hand, regardless of who is tauting-that's not what we are here for. If we want others to come to this board and get help-it needs to appear that we are adults and mature.
I am not pointing, or refering to anyone in particuliar, it's just not worth it to get into it with them, regardless of who it is.
I have had a registered member taunt me, attack me, etc, I reported it to Mike and Vikas, and it was taken care of. Just the opinion of an old lady

Let me add just a little note to this - quite often, we see responses to spam postings - ads for loans, etc. Members will respond to them, which keeps the posts towards the top of our posting list, which means more newcomers see the spam and our members responding to them.
I'd like to ask my fellow mods to simply lock those threads or delete those without responses instead of posting to the thread asking others to stop responding to it. I've been guilty of that myself, but I've recently started just simply locking the threads and putting a note on it that I was locking it. Or I will simply delete the spam thread if there are only guests responding to it. That way no one else wastes their time responding to what is most likely a bot, anyway, and won't reply back to your post...and no newcomers are taken in by the spammers.

Hey Bossy, I'm an old lady too--and in this old lady's opinion, she's sick of dealing with all the insults--so I have also started locking threads and would love to follow No-Nonsense collector around and delete his drivel. What a complete tool!
