They are both storefronts. Mrthumper, they can prosecute as they are operating under Ohio law. Call them and be honest, try to make payment arrangements. The longer you try to avoid them, the worse the situation will get. Cashland has an in house collections department that will make arrangments with you. I defaulted before and that is how I worked it out with them.
worked for cashland collections
Cashland can sue you and garnish your wages ir put liens on property for $250 or more. If it gets to that point you will have to pay amount borrowed, fees, nsf fees and court fees.. usually ends up being about $300-400 more than what you orignially owe. The arrangements cannot be $100 a month or less.... it all depends on amount owed to though. They only do arrangements on your paydays where you would have to pay everyday u get paid and they DO have that info on hand!!

I also defaulted on a Cashland loan recently . I called the collections person and told them what I could afford. They allowed me to set up pymt arrangements to pay of $912 over a 2 month period. They would not go beyond that 7-8 period though. Just call them and work something out...she was really very nice. Try to have a plan before you call them as to what you can afford to pay. I actually paid only $155 then a month later $300 then a few weeks later the $500. If the time comes when the $500 is due and I can't pay it then I will call her and see if I can get an extension...at least this will buy some time to save up the money and they have the agreement in place so everyone is happy!

I don't know if Cashland is closed, but I do know that Fastcash of Ohio(I think that is what it is called) is closed in my town in Ohio.
