I don't know that I would pay $599 to have a BK removed from my credit report - how can you be sure it will actually be removed? If she is charging you $599 to simply write a letter, I would be highly suspicious.
BK is a matter of public record, like a judgement or any other court action, and remains on your credit report for a set number of years. I have yet to see anyone have BK successfully removed by simply writing a letter...even a $599 letter. :?

Look before you leap...if you don't want to end up in a worse position.

Sure it can be deleted off a credit report with a well written dispute. However,it is a public record and very easy to find with the banko database & you cannot lie on a credit app that asks you if you have ever filed bk.

Given what Cajun is mentioning above, I would avoid this like the plague. Sounds like a bad deal to me. Your paralegal is not giving you all the facts.
