I heard an advertisement on the radio on my way into work about pdls. Here is Ohio they are trying to put a stop to them, however; the advertisement was to keep them legal here. It was too funny. The person said I would rather pay $15 on $100 instead of paying $39 overdraft fees. And then another voice said "what about credit unions" the person resonded "and be turned down again no thank you." that was the end of it other then saying keep pdl loans in Ohio. We want them out!!! This new law will do nothing for the internet pdls just the store fronts. They need to work on both!!

I would give them my story even though I am ashamed of getting myself in this mess. All of my pdl's owe me hundreds in refunds. And I am fighting with the bank to. They said 3 of my complaints were illegal but for the rest of them no even though they were the same company just on different dates. I am writing a letter to the president of the bank about the current situation and the unwillingness that back has to help me out. Maybe I should tell my story about the bank to the newspaper too.

yeah..i couldnt go through with it either. national city here will not help me out at all..telling me i am "obligated to pay back the money i took out per the contract." that came from the branch manager...customer service tells me i need to deal with the issue at the payday loan level....or at the bank branch only. right now i am trying to find the processing information for the 3 loans i have...i only owe each of them like $150 more...but i have paid 3 times that...it is just the point.

I would urge all of you in Ohio to refer your legislators, and anyone else who wants to know what PDL's can do to this site. And from what I've seen on various Ohio news forums, there's no help to be had from "average citizens", either; there's comments like "no one put a gun to your head and forced you to take out a PDL," things like that. Really sad.
