Ads that block the posts
Date: Sat, 05/10/2008 - 10:50
There have been several new members complain that they were unable to read the entire post and make any sense out of it due to a huge ad that appears to the right of the screen. I know this to be true because I have also experienced it, I use IE browser at work and that is when I see these ads, when I use Firefox browser at home, my adblocker blocks it. Anyway, here is a link to another person complaining about not being able to read a post due to these ads. What can we do about this if anything? These members are going to be missing important posts if they are unable to read them because of this particular ad. :?

Is it adds, or is it the sidebar that is blocking?
In your user options, you can set the sidebar to appear on the left side of the screen, and then it won't block posts.
I very rarely ever have this problem, but it does happen somtimes...

Ya know, now that I think about it your right, it is that side bar. I guess I'll need to explain to people they will have to change it in their user options.

And it is indeed the sidebar that is obstructing the reader form reading the entire post. Its happening because we have set the template at a specific resolution. Hence, when the resolution of the monitor changes the size of the template also gets disturbed.
However, our tech team is working on it since you have mentioned this problem and fixing it one by one. Its my request to all of you that if you come across this problem again, please reply to this thread or PM me with the url of that particular thread.
