Since there seemed to be a problem with the last voting let's suggest here what we think might be able to fix the situation.

I am not a fan of the thumbs down vote. I think it should be done away with.

I think that one person should not be able to vote for more than three answers and those three votes should not be able to be applied to just one answer.

Guest persona's should not be allowed a vote.

After answers have been voted on how many or who should not be visible at all except to the admin team.

I'm not sure but I think there is a way to tell if an ip is unique or not meaning that the ip's are tracked to prevent someone from creating an account just to vote. Maybe admin can track who votes for whom and how "new" that user is.

These are just my suggestions. Please post your ideas or feel free to enhance my ideas if you like any of them.

FYI--I am with you. Those are suggestions that I also feel would work.

I,too, don't like the thumbs down.

I think it should be limited to members, unless there is a way to track the guest votes. I think all who vote should be limited to a specific number of times they can vote- and only one, like you said, to each answer.

Maybe others will be able to offer suggestion here also. I think yours are great!!.karen

Another suggestion would be to be a bit more specific about what kind of answers they are looking for.

I was told that they chose the last winner because it was out of the ordinary and creative. They don't like tried and true text book answers, they want more something off the wall. I think that should be communicated to the members so that people will understand what they are looking for.
