Johnetta, if you are able too, I suggest putting a ACH revocation on your account with them. Also, go into your branch location and make sure you have a Hard debit block. I am certain they will contact you when that ACH attempt is returned. They sound like 365fastcash. I blocked them and havent heard from them since. Best of Luck!
STC Advance
I got a small loan with them. After 1 payment, their ACH debit dept. went crazy, took out 2 payments one week & another debit 4 days later. I had to fill out unauthorized debit forms to get my money back. I asked for their address to send a money order, which the contract said I could do, and ( I also cancelled my checking ) they said to open another checking or use someone elses! They won't give their address, and, a reverse phone book says that the 213-756-5236 number is a cell phone in Los Angeles. That's all I have found out.
payday loan
I have been trying for months to get ahold of them. I borrowed 200.00 and have probably paid 600.00. If anyone has any information I'd appreciate it.
I have put in a complaint with Ohios Attorney General[/color]
Good luck. I finally gave up. I went round for round with them
Good luck. I finally gave up. I went round for round with them. I pay $222 on a $200 loan, closed my account and sent them all the letters via their ticket system as I can't get a good address or phone number. When I did call and got ahold of someone, they wouldn't listen. They just kept saying that I was bound by the laws of Malta and that they weren't bound by any US Law. I've decided it's not worth the effort to try to get a PIF. Thank Goodness by bank is awesome so if they every get ahold of my new account number I can dispute as unauthorized and have them blocked permanently.

I am having a time with them. I sent a letter of my attorney general, BBB, and illinois banking regulations. I also called the 800 # and spoke with someone who claimed she was in Malta but spoke english better than me and said she was in Malta. So I went to the website for the government of Malta and filed a complaint with their consumer fraud division and this morning I received that back which stated this business or number is not in Malta. When I filed with the BBB, I got an address that was in Washington state.

My husband got a loan from them, (200.00) and have basically paid them approx 1000.00 or more...my husband too has been trying to get an address etc... no luck....called the number, and he did speak to someone, but they said they couldn't help him. Gave some lame excuse ..go figure..we finally put a stop payment on them on our account. The person at the bank said if this doesnt work we will have to cancel our account. Hopefully every one can read what has happened to us, and they will go out of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how well a stop payment would work; a lot of these
I don't know how well a stop payment would work; a lot of these companies operate under various names and if they can't debit your account under one name, they'll try another. Unfortunately the only thing that will probably work is closing your account completely or at least putting it in "deposit only" status. (please see "stickies" on this site re. closing bank accounts)
As for whether the company is in Malta or if people in the US are bound by their laws; OK, I'd like it explained to me why they're not bound by US laws but we're held responsible under Maltese laws? Unreal, huh? Many of these PDLs' use bogus addresses and telephone number; I've put the example on this site before of one company I dealt with that was located in the UK, had a phone bank in India, and used a Utah phone number. I'd think that any LEGITIMATE company would have a proper address and phone number, wouldn't you?
