The guy that called me said he name is Charles Menkee if anyone hears from him.
I'm glad I found this site too....even though my PDL are almost paid off, I think she information is invaluable and I'd like to be able to help someone else.

Ring Ring, guess who, he didn't even say his name this time just you know the drill, my name, and you or your attorney need to call me immediately upon receipt of your listening to this message. I don't have long distance. If they were legit would they not have a toll free #? I don't have any address or real name for this company. Does anyone? These phone calls are REALLY beginning to annoy me.

I would file a police report for harrassment and contact the FTC asap. Also contact the BBB, and the Attorney General's office in your state and their(payday lender)state.

Do not worry. I got a strange call from a number and traced her on this site to be know as Geneva Roth. I do not know why the heck they are calling me at all :twisted: Never had a loan with them at all or any of their d/b/a. They called me twice so far and leave automated voicemail soliciting their services..WTH :evil: These PDLs are a trip!! All accounts are closed and switched so I will keep an eye out for these hawks :evil:

OK today I have two messages, can't tell which came first because my clock is not working right on my answering machine...

First Mr. Anderson? sounds like Mr. Wilson...call 408-701-0884 right away don't disregard me or my attorney as soon as I receive this message call.

Another one...this is the last and final message that I will leave for you...please call 954-678-9724, if not I will be facing serious trouble and they will press charges against me.

My caller ID shows two numbers: 786-866-2982 and 408-701-0884.

Does anyone have any address for these people? This is really getting annoying. No name of the company or nothing just the same message. No toll free and nothing sent via mail.

Can they really press charges.

Thank you, paulmergel, I appreciate the kind words. It is annoying and I don't think that they can SEND me to jail or get me downloaded but it is upsetting. I have alot going on right now and this harassment is something I do NOT need.

i think everyone has came across those numbers once or twice....

They called two more times, it is a Florida number. This was after they said they had made their last phone call. It is really annoying and an irritation I do not need right now. My last day of employment is Friday so I am doing the job search. Had an interview yesterday and another one pending. Hopefully one of these opportunities will come thru for me. Otherwise unemployment will have to help out for now.

Another very important phone call, serious matter, from the same guy...how long does this go on for. It is really annoying. He has called 2-4 times a day for the last couple of weeks. He quit calling for about a month and started again. What can I do? Does anyone have any other info. on this idiot?

Got another call again today, 2 times today...left same message but different names. Caller ID states the following
# 786-866-2982 and the number he wants me to call starts with 954? That seems odd...well I will continue to ignore him although he seems to be getting more irritated each time he calls. 2nd message today threatened me stating, "charges would be filed if I do NOT return his phone call upon receipt of the message". Oh well guess he'll download me, right Tweety?

Another message now the number was a California number and he still gives the 954 # to call back. He states urgent, time sensitive, do not ignore this call, must call immediately or my attorney or represenatitive. If not he can only state that this matter will escalate to the next level and he will not be able to help me and it will continue to haunt me until I pay attention and return the call.

I am never calling him back so whatever he is going to do let him do it...he never states what he is calling about just "important urgent matter and he says my name". It is really annoying. I am thinking of canceling my home line so then he would GO away I think. :twisted:

Just had to write and say yes he called again this time saying he was John Watson, he was Mr. Anderson? He changes his name, the caller ID shows a # in Florida but he gives a 954 # to call. What a really irritating person this is. He states that this will be his last phone call and if I don't call that he can only wish me "good luck" because this will escalate to the next level then there is nothing that "he" can do to help me. Call him, he says my name, do not ignore this phone call. What a pain!!!

you can only hope he won't call,but i he probably will.if you need to change your # or cancel your landline,do it.i would give
it a little while.it does take time and talking to him even once

More phone calls, two today when I got home from the job that I got temporarily for less money but at least I am working.

First new person Cheryl, she has my SS# and contact personal information call 214-618-5897 or it was 214-618-5897 but caller ID shows just international phone call. I then received a call from my same guy Officer Watson call 786-866-2892. I did a search on the internet for this number and got the following information...it is a scam...

I did a complaint against them to the Florida attorney general's office like I did with Ellis & Crosby and although I was scammed for over $1000 from Ellis & Crosby and they went bankrupt no one will ever get money from me like that again. They threatened me today with legal action if I do not call. I think that they should stop and hope they will.

Tell them to go jump off a very high cliff!

I am NOT calling them back, I have been told that just makes them try to get $$$$ from you that I do not have and won't send to another scammer. Already did that once, learned my lesson but thanks for the thought, it is a GOOD one...

Isn't this tied into the US National Bank Federal Crime Division scam? Ripoffreport has info on it and it specifically metions a Don Wilson and a 214 and 480 area code. Just an FYI.

OK today they left an urgent must call a hotline at the Crime Division Unit of the State of Florida. They are scaring me alot but thank goodness for this website. I was scammed once before but not again. They state I have several charges against me but never what this is about, and only leave the 786-866-2982 number.

I guess I should just keep ignoring them..same guy but now he is Officer something...what a pain...someone needs to put a stop to this company. I did report them to the Florida Attorney General's Office for bothering me continuously and threatening me. Also, they said today that when I get home someone would be here waiting for me to take me to jail.

Gardnerjl, do not worry about those clowns. I guess the ring leader is involved now and wants to start making empty threats. I have not, may I repeat, have not ever seen these fools take anyone to jail or even attempt to arrest them physically in person, on this forum. If this was to ever happen, they would have so much media on them and a Major Law Suit in minutes.

They cannot do anything but call and annoy the heck out of you. Stay positive and remember they are scammers looking for a quick buck. You have done no wrong, so do not let this haunt you for the rest of your life. Take care :P

Just irritating that they keep calling or should I say he and now someone else. They get more vocal each time and scream in the phone and now threaten me stating that they are from the Crime Division in the state of Florida and they will be sending someone to pick me up if I don't call them. I'm not calling. They don't leave a 1-800# or any reference number. I will keep deleting but it is aggrivating.

Just to let you know the one number continues to call but now they don't leave messages. Just irritating b/c they call 2-3 times from morning to night. Guess they are tired of leaving unanswered messages but not too tired to dial my number, hopefully they'll become too tired to dial my number soon.

I get a call every couple of days from the 786-866-2982 number they only have my direct line @ work so if I don't pick up they go to voice mail...they stopped leaving messages a few weeks ago...

New name calling... Cheryl Williams from the United Investigations company, call 214-618-5897 and the number shows up on caller ID as private and some international call. She states to call her regarding legal matter, case pending in my name....she can still help me if I call now to clear up this legal mess.

Paulmergel...Yep, she did and the caller ID said international call not the number that she gave when she called. She was really not pushy but just stating that I needed to call URGENTLY. They tried to call yesterday but left no message but it is alot of beeping and weird noises before they usually talk so I figured it was them, private came up on the caller ID, they left no message. What a pain, someday they'll stop calling.

More phone calls, voice messages on my answering machine. First from a private number (caller ID) John Watson call 321-821-0017 do not disregard contact upon receipt of this message. Then Mike Johnson have me or my attorney of record contact him upon receipt of this message at the same number. I know everyone keeps saying to stop and not worry but wouldn't you if this person kept calling and stating, time sensitive, legal urgent issue. If I do not return the call legal action will be taken against me. DO not disregard this message call immediately or you will be sorry. Good Luck if you do not call.

I signed up for 1 payday loan to help with rent, and now there are all kinds of companies taking stuff out of my account. I live in NJ, but my bank is in FL (I just moved to NJ) so i can't go "IN" the bank since there is only one of them; and its in FL. I got an email yesterday telling me that i will autorenew unless i give them a statement or something otherwise...i didn't understand b/c they mentioned some kind of loam number(doesnt exist)..and i emailed them back....then i got another email from them saying id have to contact some other company...i did and she asked for my ssn i said no. i said she could look it up some other way. I am not in as deep as some of yall, but it looks like an avalanche might be coming///so what do I do? and the template letters?????how am i to decipher which one is for paydayloans, i didnt see one that said that it was for PDL...help asap.

1)how many pdl's?
2)what companies?
3)how much borrowed?
4)how much paid back to each total?
5)what state are you in?

i think pdl's are prohibited in NJ,if so you are only obligated to
pay back the principle borrowed.that means anything taken out
as an--extension counts toward the principal.send complaints to
your AG,the FTC,and the BBB.do not let these places bully you,
also you need to either close your current checking acct and open a new one or out your current acct on deposits only or a
hard block.then you can work with these pdl's to payback on your terms,not there's.
