I have way to many payday loans. I was going to sign up with pdl assistance but after reading several threads it looks like you can do this yourself. Can someone give me some advice. They are all internet loans and I have closed my account.

They are:
Zip19
Payday max
Disaccount advance
One Step Cash
Instant Cash
Little Loan Shop
loanshop
big limited
GFS
Magnum_Z
FTR_processing
SDS processing
Sandpoint
B&L Marketing
ameriloan
Paycheck Today
Upfront Payday
Rapid Cash

Any help on the process of doing this myself will be greatly appreciated or if you think I should let someone else do the dirty work ... just want good advice.

Thanks,

I live in SC and I will have to repost how much I paid into them.

Zip19 500
Payday max 260
Disaccount advance 500
One Step Cash 300
Instant Cash 500
Little Loan Shop 300
loanshop 300
big limited 200
GFS 200
Magnum_Z 200
FTR_processing 300
SDS processing 300
Sandpoint 300
B&L Marketing 300
ameriloan 350
Paycheck Today 400
Upfront Payday 500
Rapid Cash 200

Ohio is about to pass a law that will more than likely close PDLs here. I'm happy. BUT...what will happen with those of us who may still have a loan out? Do they set up payment plans? What if they close early? Can they deposit the checks? We have 4 loans out, owing $575 each place. (Fell into the trap, needing $500 for an emergency, something else happened before we could pay back, etc.) :(

One Step Cash 300 paid 711.67
Instant Cash 500 paid 150
Little Loan Shop 300 paid 810
loanshop 300 paid 180
big limited 200 paid 780

Paycheck Today 400 paid 240
Upfront Payday 500 paid 750
Rapid Cash 200 paid 89
US Fast Cash 350 paid 210

I have so overpaid some of these. I have read people getting refunds. Should I attempt to collect on my own or use PDL assistance. I appreciate all the help.

It's really your call -

You can do it yourself and save the money. But it will take time and effort. There will be ups and downs, frustrations and happiness, headaches and screams. But many find it's well worth the effort to save the money and have more control over the situation.

Or you can pay a company to do it for you. Then you don't have to deal with the companies yourself. That in itself is a good reason to hire a company. These places can be very nasty to deal with.

As I said, it's really a personal decision. You have to decide what will be best for you.

I am using Langhorne debt solutions. They know how to deal with the agressive PDL's and can negotiate with the lenders and make payment plans. You did right with closing your account because that is the first step Langhorne will have you do and they will also need to be your temporary power of attorney. Once you call them, they will give you all the details of how much you will pay them each month according to how much you owe to the lenders and once the they receive their first payment from you and it is processed, you will receive a welcome letter from them with a list of your lenders and what the relationship between them and Langhorne is and the ones that they have not dealt with. Also if PDL's are illegal in your state contact the Attorney General Office for assistance.

Personal contact info removed for your safety - Goudah

You can ask for a refund it couldnt hurt. But in my experience so far I have just been offered really low settlements. I caved and accepted them only to be done with it.

But my only advise to you is stay strong and dont let them scare you. Just remember they are illegal so they cant throw you in jail or have you fired. Whenever they would call me and threaten me like that I just told them to go ahead and I will be ready.

Hey there kford, I'm glad you are going to do this yourself, I have no doubt in my mind that you can get through this !! As hevnly_chick stated, keep in mind the threats they may make to throw you in jail, etc., are all empty threats! You will need to send letters (emails, USPS) to these companies revoking all ACH transactions, and telling them to cease and desist all contact with you other than in writing, let them know you will not accept any form of communication from them other than emails, or USPS. The letter is fairly basic, something like this:

Their Name
Address
State, Zip
Date:
Acct. #

Dear Whomever,

This letter is to inform you that I am revoking any and all wage assignments I may or may not have signed with your company. I am also revoking all of your rights to any and all ACH transactions to any and all of my personal accounts. You may only contact me through email or USPS. I will not accept any other form of communication from you. I would be most happy to set up payment arrangements with you, however, I will need a physical address to send my payments to, in the form of a money order ONLY.
Please reply,

Guest, if I were you I would read about this company called Credit Protection Depot, I don't think I would strike up any deals with them, or send them any money until you read a little more about them at the link below.
