Does anyhone have their address? They just called me at work and she went through the reason for her call and I told her that I would call her from my cell phone. I need their address to send them a letter. I looked them up on this website and found out they are a collection agency. She made it sound like she was calling from law office. They are calling for Geneva Roth, who I think is not licensed.

If any one has the right address for Smith Haynes & Watson, collection agency. I need this information to file complant with the state. This company collected money without the proper authorization for person. Need some help to location this company ture address.

Smith haynes and Watson is very reputable and licensed in every state they are probable one of the most compliant agencies out there, this one might be worth paying as I dealt with them and they provided me the contract I signed online when I got a loan and it states, in the event of default (failure to pay) all assignees or 3rd parties have the right to ach account in order to resolve.

Like I said this ones the real deal got their hit in order. Let me know how it turned out as I owed 800 and settled for 600 over 3 payments.

You're incorrect, they are NOT compliant and are NOT licensed in all the states, they are aka Geneva Roth.

If they are only a collections agency then can they sue you? The worse they can do is place the item on my credit begin to affect my score. All these different agencies posing as law firms is crazy. I am in collections and I know my rights. If they cant collect they place the item on your credit or sell it to anothe company that thinks they will be able to collect...... Unless you dont value your credit you dont have anything to worry about. But if you do value it then it might be in your intrest to work out some type of arrangmement.

Let me tell you after i told this lady alicia from this company no such person was at this location she calls about five time a day talks to everyone, she even told me at the end i was being recorded, these people are collectors and they address themself as a business as attorney. I have already reported them to texas attorney general and also to the bbb.

These people are very rude, i hear you (how sad if they are looking for people why don't they have an address or what

I just got an attempted call from them on my work line. Whenever I see any 877, 800, 866 calls, I immeidately pick up and hang up and then search the number online. This name came up for this number. I probably do owe them from a payday loan from years ago, but I have not received anything in writing form this place so I'm not going to entertain any calls or waste time over the phone until I receive something in writing from them. I may owe, and probably will pay, but I will make them work a little bit for it. I'm not afraid anymore of these people. At least send me some documentation before you start the attempted harrasing on the phone..

I have taken out a couple of rollover payday loans (ONLINE). I was falling further & further behind on my household bills as a result of there high interest rates. I contacted a payday loan debt consolidation company to assist with minimizing my payments. They told me to contact my local state agency known as the Dept. of Corporations. I contact them and they provided me with the payday loan lending laws for the state of California. The companies that I was working with were in direct violation of almost every state law in regards to lending companies.

I would advise everyone to contact your government offices and learn the state laws that pertain to your specific cases. This has helped so much as I am now working with an attorney to get some of the money they STOLE from me back. My case maybe a bit diff. because in my case by the time I found out about their illegal practices I had payday back 2 to 3X's the principle orig. barrowed and any applicable service fees. Please do not let these collection agencies intimidate you. If they say they are an attorney???s office and have taken your case for debt they should be fully aware of the state laws that would pertain to your specific case. Also please let them know that depending on your state laws if you applied for an online PDL again depending on your state has to be licensed in that specified state to be able to finance any amount of money to a resident of that state.

My advise is to seek assistance from your local government agency that provides information about applicable lending laws. Below you will find a financial breakdown of my particular situation:

Amount Paid after the duration of the loans: $13, 182.56
Actual amount barrowed in total: $5,500.56 (9 in total @ 1 time)
Diff. Between amount barrowed and the amount financed: $7682.00

Very sad that it took so long for me to get the correct information. I am writing this in hopes that people will learn from my experience and stop these PREDITORS from preying on people in their times of need. PDL Comp. need to be seriously fined or put out of business this needs to stop!

Thank you,
