Okay, so the mods have decided to give her once more chance to change herself. And, I think that????????s a very right decision. :D Everyone deserves a fair opportunity to rectify their mistakes. And she too is entitled for it quite deservingly.

Whoever this person is, IMO, should be banned. A single incident (possibly even a handful of isolated instances) can be forgiven and forgotten. Repetitive posting with the intent of harassment is a violation of TOS and should be met with a heavy hand.

PS: I don't know who this person is, nor do I care, but I think that secrecy in a moderator only board approaches the absurd. If moderators cannot conduct themselves with the appropriate conduct such mods need to have their privileges revoked.

PPS: If you can do a screenshot, and are adamant about removing names, I'm sure the image could edited in a basic paint program that is standard on most PCs.

Fins, yesterday, I couldn't see this forum in the index page. Today, I can. That answers at least part of your question. As a test, I copied the URL for this thread into a completely different browser [Firefox, I'm using IE7 right now]. Firefox tried to bring up the page, then redirected to the login page, since I wasn't logged in with that browser.

I am fine with her having one more chance--but I really believe that a stern warning needs to come to her from an admin saying that this is indeed her last chance. I don't want her saying that noone told her--I want everything to be clear.

I am not for another chance after seeing her track record. I will go with the rest of our group and allow it as requested. I am in agreement that admin will need a hands on approach to ensure this person understands this is as far as we will allow this to go.

I have to agree with Cajun. I don't really think she deserves another chance but I will go with whatever the group decides. I think she needs to be gone already, myself.

why is all the accusations backbiting still going on? I left a long time ago because of this you people should delete or ignore those who instead get attacked some of you hof members incite so much hate on this site why? Shocked

Yep Fyi is in Texas and us here in the south defend our properties viciously especially when someone gets near my young kids.

I have 3 older brothers also so while I am a compassionate person I am also a little blood thirsty. I don't like being pushed around or messed with and the only people I would threaten and not follow up with is my kids but that's only when I'm telling them that there is an empty hole in the backyard for bodies.

I've kept my mouth shut up until now, if she is permitted to stay after this fiasco, I'll be disappointed. She obviously has anger issues, and enjoys playing games. It's taking up entirely too much of our time, which should be spent helping others, not monitoring her behavior. :?

I, too, was all for backing up FYI's words, but she's going to try and make life hell for us now that she's been found out, and she's making it pretty obvious that she's not going to stop anytime soon.

I'd like to make a suggestion, though - please post the link to any questionable guest posts that you think may be her - post them to THIS thread, like Fins did above - so we can all keep an eye on things and help out with locking/deleting over the course of the weekend. I know many of us will be gone on vacation, etc. But those of us that are sticking close to home can help watch out for the integrity of the site.

Yeah, I hear you..I waffled on it..But I think the reason I left it was so that people COULD see it. I wanted them to see that we weren't going to have a super dramatic post. Plus I wanted you guys to see it. I think under other circumstances I would've deleted it, but I'm not even sure! :D

Maybe we could post a screen shot of the offending post here, then delete it? That way we could see it, and we all trust each other to be honest about what we're posting here. (In other words, we trust each other to post things that we think are being done by the offending party, and not just start randomly grabbing guest posts and putting them on here.)

I am comming in on the tail of all this...so much happened so quickly. I am not suprised in her behavior nor am I suprised with her threats. I did want to add, she works in the garment district in NY city...atleast that is what she told me...so I am confused by the threats..Oh well, FYI I know you have your hubby and brothers, but I have a rather large Italian family who lets just say, would not hesitate to provide protection :lol: :lol: :wink:

Thanks FYI and thanks Wulf for posting this. She isn't going to go peacefully and will be back as someone else or guest. As mods, we need to keep an eye out and nip it in the bud when something starts.

For 2 days, I couldn't get the last page of this topci to load- it loaded the 9th page, but not the last one. I thought maybe somehow I got banned as a mod, and no one told me :lol: :lol: karen

You aren't banned as a mod. It's a bug in the portal software.
