Collection Phone Calls after sending a cease letter

I sent a cease phone contact letter to a company who it was delivered to on October 17. I sent it via certified mail with a return receipt. I have not yet received the green return receipt yet. I am able however to check online at the USPS and found it was delivered on October 17. I just received today October 18 a demanding phone call left on my machine stating "YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY". I am will to make payment arrangements but I do not want to do it over the phone. This company has also contacted me on previous occassions before 8am at work. They have also contacted a friend and demanded information on me. This is why I want the phone contact to stop. If they have received my cease phone contact, why are they still contacting me via phone? I did also have my account number on the letter.

After sending your cease and desist letter, count the number of fdcpa violations that they do. You might require it to show it to your attorney.

List down the date and number of the calls made so that it becomes easier for you in the later period. You don't need to reply to these calls.

There are a couple loopholes in the C&D. If you send them a letter of validation that closes those loopholes and they then must stop trying to collect the debt until its sufficiantly validated.

You can either choose to deny the bill all together, or include the statement

"this is not a refusal to pay, but a request for validation". Until they validate (in full) they cannot attempt to collect.
