Hi

I took out a payday loan with 247advances.com. This is the first pdl that I have dealt with that doesn't allow you to speak with a live person or call them directly. The loan was for $274 and is now up to $422. The account they originally deposited the money into was closed by BOFA. I want to get this loan out of my hair because this company is clearly shady. I've tried emailing their customer service to get more information about them and their response is that they only correspond with their customers via the website. I asked what alternate ways of payment do they offer and they told me "none". They want updated bank account information so they can pull the payment out. I am afraid to give them the updated information because I do not trust them at this point. I have done what research I can on the company and have only found complaints and this domain information below:

I can't stress how much I do not want to give them new account information. I prefer an alternate way of pay but again, they do not offer one. Oh they also don't have a copy of the contract for the loan. They state that it was something that I was instructed to print a copy of during the loan application process.

Any ideas on how to proceed? Any help would be much appreciated.

Now, let me also mention that I do not see them as licensed in Utah. So, they are most likely an illegal/unlicensed pdl. Wonderful! We get to play this game!

If they are indeed unlicensed/illegal - as I'm leaning towards - then you do not owe them a penny over the principle amount of the loan, okay? Whatever amount they deposited into your account is all that you are MORALLY obligated to pay. Nothing else. So they can stick their "extra fees" you know where.

Do NOT, NOT, NOT (I can't stress it enough) give them ANY new bank account information. No! Contact them via mail if you have to (since they don't list a friggin phone number for you) and tell them you are only paying the principle amount of the loan. That's it. Then ask them if this is the correct address to mail a money order to because you are NOT giving them payment any other way. Period.

Have they debited your account at all? Or do you owe the entire principle amount still?

first off thanks for the response - sorry I took so long getting back to you but I haven't been feeling to well. To answer your question I still owe the priniciple and I do plan on paying that back becasue I owe it. I will contact them tomorrow via their online customer service and see what happens.

Help, I took out a loan with 247advances. Now I am having trouble paying it back. They keep on trying to take out fees from my bank account and there is nothing in it. Please help me. I am trying to get in touch with them, but I cant.

I happened to open an account with them and I can't get any response from them. I enformed them to take out the $74. principle on 10/17/08 and to take the remainder out on 11/14/08.

I have contacted the people at 223 west bulldog blvd. this is a loan company but they have never head of 247advance.com before and they dont have me on record.

It looks like they go under several different names and are most likely illegal.

I am trying to reach this seemingly shaddy company 247advances.com. I was told during a confirmation call that they would be depositing the funds into my account on Friday and nothing is their. My questions are what Federal and State agencies can I report them to and I would like to "Cc" a member of their staff and I need to now the address and listed phone number to their office. Can you help?

i took out a loan from these people and they have taken $74 out of my account. the $200 is still pending..but i am going to close my account right after because of reading all of this. is there anyway for them to keep pursuing payment after you have closed you account?

once that 274.00 is taken.close that account right away.this illegal pdl will debit forever if allowed to.just let the two debits go through.then e-mail them that they received the 274.00 now your are paid up.

Has anyone contacted a Lawyer about this company? They are still taking my money and that loan should have been paid. I have called 877-900-8779 and it proves to be a scam number because you can only leave a message and no one calls you back. Has anyone else had this problem and if you have talked to a lawyer what was the outcome?
