I had 5 PDLs. With everyone's help this is where I'm at right now.

Ameriloan: I sent them a C&D letter and told them I'm willing to pay the principal amount. Which I still owed them I think the whole amount. I never recieved anything from them. But then today I logged in to my account on the website and it states:

PAID IN FULL
Welcome xxxxxxxx
Application Number: xxxxxxxxx

Congratulations! Your loan has been: Paid in Full on 05-14-2008

You now have the option to get another loan!* You may even qualify for additional funds! To find out how much, click the GET A LOAN NOW button below.

It that a victory for me?

OneClick Cash send me an e-mail that I can pay them the what I owe of the principal amount. It says I can mail it to their address in form of money order.

JD Marketing sent me an e-mail stating I was getting forwarded to a Collectino Agency. I never heard anything else from them.

ThinkCash and Payday One were very nice and I was able to work out a payment arrangement with them.

None of them have called me at home or work. And the have not tried to debit my account. Which I still opened. I believe the way to go is the ACH processor.

I love this place and everyone here.

maria. . .congrats on ameriloan being PIF! I am assuming, from your closing statement, that you followed the suggestions for using the processor? I concur, had I not chosen to take a chance on James' advice, I would still be in PDL hell. The processors were a Godsend for me. Congrats again. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Maria! I have been fighting with ameriloan for months now to mark my account PIF and they kept sending me these emails and calling my job. But when I read your post, I went back and looked in my account and found that my account was marked PIF too. Thanks so much because I didn't know they had did that...This is always a good feeling!!!!

Congrats scooby! As Maria said, the processor is the way to go and I am beginning to wonder if all the heat through the processors is making them sing another tune to all who are dealing with them, regardless of whether they directly contacted the processor or not. Wouldn't that be wonderful? And, yes, it is a great feeling to get that PIF.

There is a sticky at the top of the forum page entitled using ACH processors to stop Pay Day Loans. That pretty much describes the process. The processor is the third party to the mix of the PDLs moving their funds. Some of us have chosen to use this method and it has proven to be effective. The two biggies are Intercept EFT and ACHC. Sometimes, however, they are just bank to bank transactions. Your bank could help if you give them a date that a PDL debited your account. You will need to talk with your bank's ACH department to get that information. Just give the sticky a look to help you understand the theory. If you need help with any of it, just ask.
