When looking for a lawyer for representation, what should I be looking for? Do i do the same thing as if I was looking for in a debt settlement company? For example, if they are in good standing with the BBB?

FYI I gave you the name of my attorney who has been doing a fine job for me. You found a negative about him by doing a google search. I emailed him regarding that and he believes it got poste because he pursues junkfax cases as do the others on there. I emailed the site and asked on what did they base their decision to post his name there and they would not reply! The attorney is a member of junkfax.org. The attorneys on the site you read were a list copied directly from www.junkfax.org. They went to that site put up all the names as shysters because they must be junk faxers themselves. Just clearing the air on this!

thanks frogpatch. His secretart called me back and left me a message saying that he can't not help me because my court date is on June 11; which is too close for him to do anything about it.

i plan to call him on his cellphone to go over everything since i didn't leave all the details with his office.

thanks again!

I do not think so. the other lawyer that i have contacted informed me that they have no case against until they issue me a summons.

the lawyer implied that they may be using the dismissal court date to lure me to the court and serve me my summons when i appear since they do not have my new address and therefore they were never able to serve me my summons.

i contacted the CA law office last week but didn't give them any information on my new address (which they ask for). the lawyer informed me because I called them, they might tell the judge they have contact with me and are in the process of getting an alias summons served on me.

so i wait till i get served? anyway to be proactive on this?
