I got a call from Legal Mediation Practice for an old cashnetusa account, does anyone know anything about these people.

As far as I can see they are a collection agency, but the name of the company implies more, are they just a collection agency?

I filed a complaint right off the bat to florida and pennsylvania attorney generals office, the conversation that I had with the person who called me from LMP was not a very nice one and I knew where he is headed. Seems like he is apt to start all the collector crap on me. I sent debt validation and the fdcpa laws to him from both attorney generals web page.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, soooo much.
thanks in advance

I read through the posts, I reported them into the florida and the state of pennsylvania's attorney generals office and sent them a debt validation letter. I told them in a cover letter that I reported the to the attorney general's office to ensure that fdcpa was not violated in my case. They quit calling and I have not recieved anything in the mail from them either.

Guys, I called the Florida AG's office today to ask a question about another issue regarding another CA, and happened to ask the woman I was talking to about Il-Legal Mediation Mal-Practice. I was just curious to see if she could tell me if they had any complaints against them, how many, and if they had been filed in states other Than Florida.

Well, she gave me this breakdown, or at least how I remember it as I didn't write the numbers down. She said they had 10 phone call complaints, a few faxed in complaints, and OVER 50 E-MAIL COMPLAINTS. She said some were from states other than Florida, also, but I didn't ask her the break down.

So I'm guessing they are starting to take notice of Il-Legal Mediation Mal-Practice and want to encourage anyone that gets the illegal collection calls from these people to keep filing the complaints!!! It is the only way we are going to bring these people (if they are in fact even human!) in check!

I know that might not seem like a huge amount of complaints, and at a glance it doesn't seem that way to me either. I do need to point out there was a news story yesterday where the Florida AG's office is going after Countrywide for deceptive lending practices based on only 150 complaints! It was said they (the Florida AG's office) had a very strong case against them based on only those 150 complaints.

So keep documenting all the illegal chicanery LMP gets up to and make sure you file complaints with your AG's office, Florida AG's office, and the FTC!

I have just had a phone call from these people. They were very rude and quite abrupt. They felt that threatening me was the way to go. They did not wish to discuss the matter, they were recommending arresting me.

NascarDevil!

I did go there and read that entry on Ellis Crosby/Legal Mediation Practice! If he has been "enjoined" by the state of Florida not to have any association with the collection industry in any way, then how the heck is he associated with Il-Legal Mediation Mal-Practice? I'm at a loss to understand why he isn't just locked up!

Folks!

If you have been a victim of LMP's shenanigans, then all the more reason to be filing complaints on this "company" with the Florida Attorney General's office. Be sure to do this along with filing complaints to your state's AG's office and the FTC. We need to shut these criminals (In my opinion, that is exactly what they are) down! It was proven that Ted Ellis Crosby was in serious violation of the laws, therefore, if he is association with LMP, then it is probably a good chance he is continuing this furtive activity.

So what do we do in the meantime after we file the complaint? Yes I was talked to very badly, it caught me off guard so of course I defended myself. After the conversation...I contacted AIS that had it an arrangements had been set up....The gentlemen was trying to help me, and was not aware that LMP had bought the debt. He apologized, so I called LMP back to get the address and was told off some more. He still wouldn't give the address. So I contacted a lawyer in town here in Texas and she called and got here head biten off...She advised me not to call back, and search to make sure the company was really a company. Same guy saying he was the director ask us both not to ever call back....I spoke to a sup at AIS and told her what happened, and she could not believe it..She said the only way they can help if I had the amount. Tell me who has over 2000 laying around, I sure don't. Help!!!
