Well, i got another 'threat' from Cash Today Limited saying they will pursue a voluntary wage assignment. This after i filed an AG complaint, and explained to them that I'm aware of the wage assignment laws and they have no right and that i mailed them a letter revoking the wage assignment. I'm sick of dealing with these people. i've piad them 640 on a 400 dollar loan...as far as i'm concerned that's more than enough.

anyway i've explained this situation to the payroll guy and he seems aware of shady things like this. Still, I want to be sure that no such wage assignment happens. What can i send him? From what i understand if they get one and process it only the creditor can revoke it, and i don't like the odds of Cash Today Limited cancelling that with my employer should they somehow push it through. Any advice is much apprecaited. Thanks again to everyone.

Pennslyvania...i normally post as mppsu2003 but i can't log in for some reason. Anyway i filed another complaint with the AG, though i never heard back about the one from 2 weeks ago.

I'd love to ignore them, but better they harrass me than my employer on the phone i suppose.

Fron what I understand Pa does not have a long arm law when it comes to payday lenders. They allow them to go by the laws of whatever stae in which they are licensed, however I do not think that Cash Today is licensed anywhere. Like I said before, just ignore there calls. If you have caller ID do not answer. If not just tell them you have paid all that you should by law and hang up. They will eventually turn you over to a third party collector who will have no leg to stand on!

WAGE ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT VALID UNLESS SIGNED IN PERSON. THEY CAN'T ASSIGN ANYONES WAGES WITH AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE. I AM SURE THEY KNOW THIS BUT CAN ATTEMT TO SCARE PEOPLE INTO LETTING THEM DO IT.
THEY CAN NOT GARNISH YOUR WAGES EITHER THAT HAS TO BE DONE IN COURT, I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE THEM IN YOUR LOCAL COURTHOUSE.
