I want to Know can I pay the original creditor on mt debt??? or do I have to pay the collection agency that bought it ??? I rather deal with the og creditor than the CA.

If the collection agency did, then that would be illegal. If the collection agency is giving you problems, you can call the original creditor and tell them that the collection agency they hired is being unfair.

If the original creditor has not paid them yet, they may take the account back and you might be able to pay them. Otherwise, you are stuck with the collection agency.

I doubt very much that the original creditor will work with you if the account is already charged off. they have already claimed it as a loss and got their money. Now they get a little from the collection agency and they let them profit off of it. When you pay the debt collector say $3,000 on a $1,900 bill, only a small percentage goes to the original creditor, maby around $200 or less as an example. The rest is all profit for the debt collector.

You can call the original creditor and ask them, and also ask them if they will set up payments.

If it has been cahrged off and sold, they no longer possess it.

I called one when I was starting to pay off bills,it had been cahrged off, but not sold. Since it was still in their hands and only been cahrged off recently, they let me pay it off.
