Is there a sample letter of what should be stated in the letter to the court? Do I just tell our side of the story or are there guidelines to follow? Does anyone know of a way to get a pro bono laywer? Thanks, Heather

The best thing to do is to contact attorneys in your area that handle fdcpa cases. Then try to work something out. One of them my be able to do it pro bono or may not. You'll just have to kind of "shop around" however you can also check legal aid.
