I currently owe Chase $15,825 and am 7 months behind on my payments. I spoke with them this morning & they are scheduled to charge off my account at the end of this month. They offered me a settlement at $7500 (47%). I told them that I need to think about it. I really wanted to get down to 40% or $6330. However, after reading a lot of posts about Chase, I am starting to think I should just take their offer.
Should I call back & try to get it to 40% or should I "not rock the boat" and be grateful what they offered?
