Dear Bugsas, At first glance to the number of years it seemed
Dear Bugsas,
At first glance to the number of years it seemed to me that the SOL of your debt has lapsed. But after checking it I found out that in Pennsylvania the SOL for old credit card debt is 6 years. So, your debt is still within this period.
First of all I want to tell you that they can????????t put you behind bar. By calling your parents and threatening them, they have already breached fdcpa guidelines.
If you wish then you can make a formal complain to: -
Federal Trade Commission,
Bureau of Consumer Protection,
Office of Consumer & Business Education,
Washington, DC 20580.
Phone: - (202) 326-3650.
You can also contact the Attorney General of your state, Consumer Protection Office.
If you need customized help then you can get Free Consultation from our community????????s financial expert.

These people are totally out of control. They called me and threatened me with everything they could over a debt that wasn't even real. I owed a debt to a credit card company years ago with a similar name to the one they were using to threaten me.
At first I mistook them for legitimate and even promised to make payments. But, when they kept pushing and pushing for me to give them my bank account over the phone, I knew they were phonies.
These people are total liars and can do nothing to you. They just make their money by intimidating people into paying them whether or not the debt is legitimate, or if they really hold the ownership of it and not just looked it up on your credit report and claim it as theirs.
Do not pay these people. If they are legitimate, let them take you to court. I'll bet that's the last you'll hear from them.

Does anyone know where this company is located. They called me and refused to even tell me what time zone they were in. I want to file a complaint against them.
