How can we improve forums registration?

I feel the registration is alright. The problem is not enough people know about us. Maybe we could try some advertising? Try talking to administration to see if they might want to manage pages like a myspace page, or facebook. Something to get the site out more into the eyes of the public.

Increase traffic by posting to Yahoo Answers.

Answer a few posts a day, and include DCC as a link/source.

In the past, and while browsing the credit section, I noticed an ample number of PDL and credit repair questions.

JCEMT's MS/FB suggestion could help drive traffic, too.

Advertising is a suggestion & also make our forum a safe place to discuss personal issues without fear of being judged.

CB had a great suggestion, we could do that by possibly posting an advisory that the posters personal information is kept 100% confidential and that they can remain completely anonymous.

I don't know if this could happen or not, but it would be nice if some of the debt consolidation places that help people with PDL's, like Langhorne, etc. would link to our site. You would have a ready-made audience at that point.

I think in order to get our name out better is to advertise. I was sort of against it a while back, but we need to get the word out somehow. It's not like people are suddenly out of debt, there is a need out there.

Also what Cajun said, we need to make this site not only one of anonymity, but where you won't get personally attacked if you say something. I think in that area, the Mods and Admin., will have to work together to keep the site clean and safe. Just my five cents!!..karen
