Don't feel stupid, I'm there with you, I still haven't figured out these laws and how they work, so I am right there with you. There are many people here who are pretty much experts at interpeting these laws though. Have you secured your bank account yet? Are there any scheduled debits from these companies which are due soon?

Lee...you have taken the first step in getting control of your PDL problem. As soon as they realize they do not have access to your money they realize that YOU are in control! :)
I believe you need to find out if your PDL (which are all on-line PDL's) are legal to lend in Wisconsin. If they are not licensed to lend to WI residents, then technically, the loan is void and you don't have to repay it. MORALLY, you could pay the principal amount you borrowed, but you are not obligated to pay their usurious rates and fees.
Deal with them one at a time and you will see how quickly these will disappear.
Spend some time searching this website and you will see that others have been in your shoes.
Best to you!

Wisconsin is a wierd state as far as the laws go and who they apply to. It's as follows:
If the pdl solicited the loan - They must be licensed in WI and follow WI laws.
If you found the pdl online - They only need to be licensed in a US State and would follow the laws of the state they are licensed in.
I know these two are licensed in other states: littleloan sho

Basically you'll need to find out where (if anywhere) these loans you have are licensed anywhere. Whatever state they are licensed in, are the state laws you will need to follow, by that I mean whatever interest rate, fees, etc. these states have, is what you will be obligated to pay. I am unable to search for licenses right now, but I will try to tonight, then perhaps with the help of someone else, we can compute what you will actually owe to each one. If I were you, my next move would be to hunt up addresses, and email addresses for each of these comapnies, and begin writing letters to them, Cease & Desist contact, also put into those letters that you are revoking ach transactions and any and all wage assignments you may or may not have signed. I am sure there will be someone available that can help you with the letters, and you can begin researching these companies by placing the name of them in the upper right hand corner of this forums's search box. That is where I would begin. Your account is already closed so that part is taken care of. :) Now you need to obtain addresses, or email addresses so you can get these letters sent out. You can work out payment attangements as soon as you take care of the letters. The wage assignment is important, and you will need to inform your payroll person so they don't attempt to take your wages. I know this is a lot to digest, but I am doing the best I can to explain. :) If anyone else would like to add anything or jump in here to help, please do !!
