PDL and Credit Reporting

Its a little late for this, but now that I have defaulted on my PDLs and am working with Town and Country to get everything squared, is this going to negatively affect my credit?
I'm trying to do some repair work on my FICO now and may be looking to buy a house in a few months so I want it to be as high as possible.
I've heard that PDLs don't usually report to the big three, but that colelctions agencies might. Is that still correct?

I've had a CA for a PDL report on me. I DV'd them and disputed
I've had a CA for a PDL report on me. I DV'd them and disputed it with the CB and it came off. Never heard from the CA. Oh well. ;)
