ok, so back in February I started dealing with ACH transfers/pay day loans. I have two left..what kind of steps do I need to take with the last two? they are: the cashspot.com and achloan.com . I am in Ohio...I am going to my bank tomorrow to stop payment and ask for processor names. What do I do after that? Please help...I've overpaid by alot, I think

Hello and welcome! :) You need to send them both letters informing them that you are revoking their right to any more ach transactions, before you contact the processors. Then, you can tell the processors that you already revoked ach transactions. I'm here to tell you though, many of these pdl companies get around those stop payments by changing their names and changing the amounts. I really don't think it will do very much good JUST to stop payments. Once they receive those ach revocation letters, they will try to drain your account as quickly as they can, I would recommend placing a hard debit block on your account if you can't close it out. You should also revoke any and all rights for them to evoke a wage assignment, and cease and desist contact with you, all in one letter. Send them certified return receipt, or through the email.

I found them on the internet. i borrowed $300 for each one. I've paid back $405 to cashspot and $740 to achloans. between the monthly payments the resulting nsf charges at my bank...I'm sinking in quicksand. I just got paid on Friday and its gone.

Do you guys have letters that I can use to send to these guys? or how does it work?

Well, you have MORE than paid them off then. Don't give them another red cent! You also need to file a complaint about these companies to the Ohio Attorney General, BBB and the FTC, all the links are in my signature. Please do this!

As far as a letter: (could be typo's and errors, please review, as I wrote this rather quickly. lol)

Your Name
Address
City, State
Acct#

Company Name
Address
City, State

To Whom It May Concern:

It has come to my attention that you are lending illegally to Ohio residents. I have filed a complaint against your company with my Attorney General, the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. According to my calculations, and the laws of the state of Ohio, I am due a refund from your company. Since you are not licensed to lend in the state of Ohio it makes this contract null and void, therefore I am only morally obligated to pay back the principal amount, which means I am due a refund in the amt of $_______.

I hereby revoke any further ACH transactions on ANY and ALL of my accounts. I also am revoking any and all rights to any wage assignments I may or may not have signed with your company.

I am notifying you as of today date:______ to cease and desist all contact with me, my employer, and my references, you may contact me by USPS or email ONLY.

Signed:

thank you sir....whats to stop them from charging my old checking account anyhow??

I'm not a sir. lol But that's OK!
Nothing will stop them except a hard debit block, or closing out the account. Unless you intend on contacting the processors after you send out the ACH revocation letter. Hopefully one of the above will keep them from taking any more of your money! Please, make sure you fill out those complaints!

OK, so I'm trying to get my complaints filed. Meanwhile, I went to my bank today and they want me to come in tomorrow after my check clears and they said they will close my account and put a "DO NOT OPEN" on it since I'm staying with Chase. I have a couple other loans still open, it turns out...and I'm going to cut them a cashier's check for the balance.

I still have not been able to reach ACHLoan.com and I have spoken with cashspot.com today. I'm up to $502.50 paid on a $300 loan and the lady said that I'm going to have another 7 payments come out before its paid off. I asked her about the fees in Ohio on pay day loans and she started to argue...so I got off the phone.

Hopefully this shit is gone soon enough..I'm fed up
