First off, you are no loser! You are having financial problems due to a health issue! That in no way makes you a loser!

I am heartbroken for you that you had to pawn a ring you father had made for you! I imagine it was a very difficult thing for you to do!

I'm donating all the DebtCC points I currently have to you. Not much by a longshot, but I'm hoping it will help just a little. If I had any actual money to spare that I could send, I definitely would.

Keep your head up! We are all in this together and I'm sure something will come along at some point to give you some relief!

FWIW, I have some close friends who are dealing with the same condition you have, so I know [generally] what it's like. I admire you. I do not believe I could handle it as well as you are.

Ladybug, you are definitely not a loser. You may feel like it, but getting in a situation you cannot help does not make you a loser at all. I will pray for you, and hope you get the help you need. Just do what you can, that is all you can do. :)

Does your utility company have any programs for longer term disability (more than 30 days) or any low income programs that you may qualify for?

Ladybug, I have only been here a month but I have received so much support and help that I was able to rid myself of 5 PDL's in a very short time, I even received 4 refunds. Because of this I would like you to have my points. It's not much but every little bit helps. God Bless

I will pay you all back in time...in answer to your question alias...yes, my city does have a program for low-income individuals like myself which is called lincoln action program and I hope they will be able to help me I will know in a couple of days.:)

lady, the Salvation Army will pay your utilities one time a year also, as will your local EOC program. I used the SA once for a $500 electric bill that my charming X left me with and they paid the whole thing. Everythings going to be fine, you'll see. Good people are taken care of.

Yes, definitely follow up with those programs and ideas. Not really a Church-goer myself; however, if you attend a church regularly, sometimes the congregation will get together and help you out, if you let someone know what your situation is.

You are not a loser!!! Don't think that way. You are dealing with some problems, and thing happen that are beyond our control. It happens. Have faith that things are going to work out ok. We are here for you.

Ladybug, I feel for you, because I have been there! I had just cashed in my points last week so I had very little to donate but they are all yours. I have a suggestion, have you tried contacting your local Inner Church, they are so good about helping out in emergencies. Just a thought. God bless.

Yes they actually paid $200.00 on my electric, then the very next day I got another electric bill for $220.00...wtf.... :twisted: :twisted: I hate this utility company and the house that I live in :twisted: ...I feel like I am getting no where fast and my damn stimilus check still hasn't gotten here yet. :evil:

Wanted to check to see how things are going.

Our electric company wants to add 12% to our already high electric costs..can you believe that :twisted: our mayor is saying no way...we will see if he can do anything about it

Utility companies, are like most businesses, are driven by greed, and sucking up to their shareholders. They are evil, because people have to have energy, and have to pay what it costs, or do without. I can understand maybe the high fuel costs driving up electricity, but we need nuclear power.

Don't feel bad about the utility hike...our electric company wants to do the same thing and in some counties, they have already raised taxes on homeowners.

Yes, they also want to raise homeowner's taxes. I swear I live in one of the highest taxed states in the US, I know that we are in the top 25. Nebraska
