Hi All!

Quick question: NCO has made a credit inquire on my credit report twice (06 and 07). It means that they have received my CR and their names remain in my report for 2 years.

I want NCO to remove the entry from my report. Can you advise? How do I handle this one without raising the red flag?

I didn't like the sample letter I read from your site.

Thanks!
L

if they made the inquiries legally, with a permissable purpose, then you cannot simply have them removed. Did they have a legitimate reason to do this? Were they collecting on a debt of yours? If so, then you need to let them fall off once the time limit is up. If not, then you need to start asking NCO why they were pulling your credit file.

NCO made an INQ on TU. I disputed with TU but they told me that I need to contact NCO if I feel that the inquiry was made without permissible purpose.

NCO is not collecting on anything, there's a different CA trying to collect on an old debt. I have a feeling NCO was looking for something... I don't want to contact them! I'm just totally paranoid at this point!

I guess I just have to wait until it falls off but there are 2 entries! 2006 and 2007.

On TrueCredit, do you have to pay to see your CR? I know I have some things that will 'fall off' this year. I'm glad about that.

We have been debating this over and over on another forum but I still haven't figured out exactly the why of it. From what I can tell is that TU only devotes a certain amount of space for hard and soft INQ's in a consumers file. ONce the soft INQ's hit in the 70-80 INQ's mark it starts to impact the hard INQ's section of the file. I didn't quite beleive it at first and thought that maybe the info was still there just not visible on TrueCredit but when I pulled my FICO's at myFICO as well as the FICO I was getting from my WaMu acct, they truly were no longer showing on my TU report. Now I think that there are still ways for some creditors/employers to see them (mortgage companies can get a more complete report than say a credit card company, employers if you apply for a job with salary greater that $70k). When I started my credit repair last October, I had 6 INQ's that were less than a year old. By January, they had all dropped off. I applied for several new accounts in Feb and had 6 more hit my TU report. As of mid-June they were all gone. Do that google search I posted and the very first link will take you to a huge thread of successful
