If you have bills that are in collections you best bet is to look into a debt settlement program which is an aggressive form of consolidation. A reputable settle company should be able to settle you debt for around 40%-50% of the balance. When shopping around for a settlement company be sure to check them out on the BBB to make sure they have a good track record. Also make sure they are members of either USOBA or TASC.
