Help with an agreement

If you agree to pay the debt then I don????????t think that there will be any problem regarding this. But you should try to negotiate with the CA.

Thanks, but I want to know do I have to tell the court about this agreement or do they? And if I do, do I wait till my court date which is a week away?

you did keep a copy of that letter right?if so bring it to court.
sounds like they changed there minds or are trying to collect
despite an agreement in writing.you can try to go to the courthouse and show them the letter,see if you can avoid court.it sounds as though the CA is trying to back out of the
agreement by pushing it to court the way they are.if you saved
a copy of that letter bring it to court.chances are the judge will
agree with the letter.you could try to contact the CA to clarify
as well,sometimes the CA won't inform the court.ask them
what's going on.if they tell you they changed there minds you
can let them know you have a copy of the agreement letter.
that should either get the CA to inform the court of the agreement or let you know to show up to court with that letter.no matter what you made an agreement and unless you
back out it should be good enough.court or no court.

paul, thanks. They just got the letter back on Friday because I sent it certified mail, return receipt. I was hoping since we agreed on something that the court date would be cancelled, I don't know how long it takes for them to inform the court of this agreement.

i would keep on them,and also check with the court too.have to
keep yourself covered.

I'm pretty sure it's up to the Plaintiff to drop the complaint. My advice to you is to definitely show up in court with a copy of the agreement you signed. If your court date is cancelled, the court will notify you, if you don't receive a notification from the court, show up regardless of what the CA says, SHOW up!
