How do you know how many votes you received? I don't see where it shows the amount of votes received for each post??????

Does anyone else see where the votes are actually tallied, or am I missing something, which wouldn't be unusual for me. :lol:

You dont see the votes. It goes by what position your answer is in. When I answered I was #39 and I have moved up to # 1.I am new here, but I think that is how it must work. As you get vote you move up in position.

Shazzers, I don't see any tallies either. I wonder if the previous poster's answer is listed first at #1 and she just thinks that's a ranking order?

It is a ranking order I believe. As you get votes it seems you move up in the ranks. When I answered I was a high number, but as I got a few votes I moved up in the ranks.

Actually, no that is not what I think. The answers are given and the more votes an answer gets it moves that answer up in the ranking order. I have watched how the contest worked last week and then again this week. When I answered the question I was # 39 or 40 cant remember , but then as I got votes I began to move up in the ranks until my answer hit the #1 spot.

It was my understand that they were not going to rank the answers any longer . . . .

Can I also say, and really, no offense to anyone, but if the answer that is at the top right now wins, I will have to really rethink my participation on this site.

If the answer that gets the most votes is for a stripper that needs bigger ****, as opposed to real debt related issues and answers, then this site has gone downhill a lot farther then I'd thought. :twisted:

Also, Jen, I dont want to burst your bubble, but just because you get the most votes doesn't mean you win. It isn't just about votes, Admin gets a say too.

I had the most votes one time, almost double the second place answer, and I still didn't win. So please, dont' get your hopes up, because you might not get what you expect.

Excuse me, but I am not a stripper. People do what they have to do to feed their children. I was 22 years old with 2 children and my husband died in a car wreck. I did what I had to do to keep a roof over their heads and to put food in their mouths. Who are you to put down a persons life style, certainly not knowing all the facts. It is I believe biased people like you who bring a site down. Dont critize other people until you have walked in their shoes.

I did not critize your occupation - I said that if a non debt related answer won it would be sad.

I for one have no problem with you stripping. And yes, exotic dancer is a stripper. Call it what you want, but that is what it is. I know, I stripped for years myself.

And if you have such a hard time feeding your kids, why not put some of that money into a college savings account for them instead of making your boobs bigger?

There is pleny of money in college funds for them, as well as stocks and mutual funds. My kids come before anything or anyone. Sorry you didnt win, you seem quite bitter

No, I'm just telling you not to expect to win just because you have the most votes. It does not go by votes alone. I'm not bitter, just realistic, and you seem to be anticipating this win, and you may not be the winner just because it looks like you will be.

I don't want you to get your hopes up and think you will get the money, then find out that you aren't.

Yeah, thats the way to have a fair contest. Rig it !!!! In my life I have never seen this kind of behavior in a forum. Vote for whoever you want. Actually I was going to donate my winnings if I won to the guy who posted about losing his job. Keep your money, rig your contests, see how many members you keep.

Jen - That may be your interpretation . . . . But many don't take my words like that. I'm just matter of fact. I don't feel I need to sugar coat things.

I never once insulted you or said anything that was not nice. I just expressed my opinion that the answer to the Question fo the Week should be debt related, as that is what this site is about. I have no issues or problems with what you do.

The question of the week simply asks how are you going to spend your stimulas check. Nowhere does it state it has to be debt related.

I did not put you down. I simply expressed my opinion about the Question of the Week. I have no problem with you. It's not personal.

This site is debt related. It is a debt help site. The Question of the Week was created to "challenge" the experts and gather answers to common questions. It is entirely debt related.

And gas & food are a necessary thing, so they are debt related. With the rising gas prices, it is a huge burden on family's financials. Plastic surgery is a luxury. Gas is a necessity. Food is a necessity. Big difference in my opinion.

Shaz - Admin was supposed to but an end to the number 1 answer moving up. It was something they were going to change with the rest after the first QOW.

That is your opinion. I do not see gas or food being a debt.Do you not eat or drive a car until you get free money from the government. Come on, its not a debt at all, it is a way of life. You need food and you need gas. Necessity yes, debt no.

It is a necessity that is rising in cost, effecting your financial life.

It does affect a person's ability to repay their debt.

My point of posting here was not to debate or fight with you, I only wanted to warn you not to count on winning just because you have to most votes. Other factors go into determining the winner besides votes.

I certainly hope the rest of your site and the info it gives out is not as bogus as your contests. It proves that the things are rigged and it is just not a decent think to do. You guys certainlt do not act like the community you represent yourselves to be.
