I came across this site and decided to see if someone might be able to help me. I have 9 payday loans out and am stuck. Here are the loans I have:
1. United Cash Loans - Original Amount = $200. I have paid $240 to date in interest.
2. Paycheck Today - Original Amount = $300. I have paid $500 to date and still owe $150 on the actual loan.
3. Cash Advance Network - Original amount = $400. I have paid $480 in interest only.
4. Impact Cash - Original amount = $300. I have paid $270 in interest.
5. US Fast Cash - Original amount = $350. I have paid $210 in interest.
6. Prestigage Marketing - Original amount = 300. I have paid $270 in interest.
7. Loan Shop - Original amount = $300. I have paid $180 in interest.
8. Sagamore - Original Amount = $300. I have paid $180 in interest.
9. Eagle Finances - Original Amount $300. I have paid 410 and still owe 250 on the loan.

I am also starting to recieve debits on my account from companies I don't know or have any paperwork on. One of them is signmyloan. The only loans I signed up for are the ones listed above. I am not sure why I have others debiting my account.
All of the loans are internet and I live in IL.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to give you an update. I have received 3 PIF letters (Prestigage Marketing, Sagamore, and Eagle Finance). Impact Cash has agreed to a $30 settlement, and signmyloan(which I never signed up for) is giving me a $196.50 refund. I am still waiting to hear from United Cash Loans, Paycheck Today, Cash Advance Network, US Fast Cash and the Loan Shop.

It should be interesting as tomorrow is payday and the block is in place, so maybe then I will hear from them. I did check on the websites (the ones that have them) at my status and Paycheck Today is the only one that changed, it says Loan Status = COLLECTION TWO. Does anyone know what that means?

Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate all the help!

Thank you everyone. I received 4 emails last night, 2 from Paycheck Today and 2 from Cash Advance Network, all of them said the same thing...

Thank you for choosing Paycheck Today as your loan provider.
Unfortunately, we are unable to issue you a loan at this time.

Sincerely,

Paycheck Today

So I checked my account online, and it says on both "Status: Deny New" "Unable to process your loan request at this time"

I never applied for another loan, what do you think this means?

Both of these loans I had overpaid.

I knew I would start getting more feedback today (because it is payday). Anyway, I just received an email from US Fast Cash, wanting to set up a payment plan to pay back the "$560" I owe. I owe $140.

I also received an email from Sagamore saying that my account has been sent to AIS collections. I have never heard of an account going to collections for not even being 24hrs late and I have an email from another person at Sagamore from the 10th agreeing to my terms with an address to send payment.

I definately am glad that my bank account is closed, it just goes to show you that even if they receive your letter and give you an address to send payment, that they will still try to debit it.

I thought that Sagamore had given you a PIF, or was I mistaken? As for UsFastCash, set up nothing with them. Have you already paid back what they deposited into your bank account? If so, they get nothing further. Your bank account is closed so they can't get into that, which is a good thing. If it persists, contact Intercept EFT, ask for Cindy. Talk to her and then let UFC know that you have done so. I think that MNE is getting tired of the calls to the processor and they are starting to cut their loses before they can't do business any longer. If you really do owe $140, after all is said and done, then that is exactly what you should pay. They'll get over it.

Ok, I am sorry, I am getting myself confused. I did receive a PIF letter from Sagamore, and an agreement from Impact. I do owe Sagamore $120 on the principal, but the letter they sent me states "We don't want your money, consider your loan forgiven" I will pay the $120, but they should not have sent me that letter if they were just going to send me to collections. What do you think I should do about that?

i hope you saved that letter.you should file a complaint with
the IL AG.i know you wanted to pay back the 120.00,but they
basically told you the loan was forgiven.lisa madigan, the illinois
attorney general should know about this.

Well that is rather strange, even for a PDL! If you have a PIF from Sagamore, then it's done. They have "forgiven" your loan, just like Star Advance did for me. I wouldn't pay the $120 if I have a PIF in hand. They are very sloppy in their endeavors and could it be possible that the collections letter and the PIF crossed at the same time? I would just wait it out. Can you go to their website, access your account and see what the status is on that loan? That might give some insight as to just how stupid they are. I wouldn't give them any more of my money or my time. Make sure you keep a copy of the PIF in a safe place! Good luck and keep us posted.

They marked you "PIF" Take it and run! :D Do not send money, because who is to say they will even acknowledge that as a payoff :x These PDLs can be real underhanded.

If the the right hand isn't talking to the left, then they are SOL not you. Keep that PIF letter for your records and file complaint with AG office on this matter. Good Luck!

Ok, so now I am starting to receive phone calls. I haven't answered yet, but all the messages are saying is please call us about your account. I am assuming they are now calling because the payments have gone back to them with my account being closed.

I received an phone call and email from The Loan Shop. They gave me an address to send my payment to and informed me I owe $300. This is the amount of the original loan, which I have already paid $180.

I have also received emails and calls from US Fast Cash, Pay Check Today and Cash Advance Network, all saying the same thing....Please call us to discuss your account. For each email and call I resend my original letter via email. I am not sure what else to do. I am a little nervous about speaking with them. I don't want to wimp out.

I wouldn't call them, they will just argue with you. I would just resend the original letter as you are already doing. If they want their money, they will eventually listen & settle for what you morally owe. If you haven't already done so, I would file reports with the BBB, FTC & the attorney general, that may help the situaltion move along a little faster. :D

Ok, I just received a call from 866-489-0979, Smith Haynes and Watson. Her name was Ebiny and she was calling about a complaint attached to my social security number. That it is imperative that I call her back with in 24 hrs.

I looked the number up and I believe it is just a payday loan company, but it has me a little freaked. Should I call back?

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to give you all an update. I have received pif letters or letters saying I will recieve pifs when the balance of the original amount that was borrowed is paid from all of the pdl's except Paycheck Today, Cash Advance Network and Us Fast Cash.

Those are the only three I haven't heard from regarding my letter. These are also the only three letters that came back to me in the mail. After looking them up more on this site, I believe they are all MTE, who as I have read are a nightmare to deal with. Anyway, I continue to email and fax my letter daily to them. Yesterday I received a call from "ARM" 877-726-8505 who is a CA. After looking them up here, it seems they do a lot of work for MTE. The man who called me was extremely rude in the voicemail (which I saved). I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with them. If there is something else I should do?

Thank you Everyone!!

Hi Everyone,
Ok, I never called or heard back from that lady at Smith Haynes and Watson until today. She says that it is "extremely important that I contact her immediately". After researching them, I know that it is someone trying to collect for a pdl.

The last few days I have also been receiving calls from 888-622-0222. They never say where they are calling from. It is either a recording or Carolyn stating that she has some information that I might not be aware of. Again after researching the number I know that they are collecting for a pdl.

My question is should I call them back and find out which one of the pdl's they are collecting for or can I just send them a debt validation letter and C and D Letter?

Please let me know your thoughts!
Thank you

What does one do if there is no contact info? After phone conversation, I was to get $300 deposited (which they did) under the condition that it was to be repaid in FULL (plus $90.00 service fee.) Instead, they have debit my acct $90.00 twice, which means they aree dragging this out by taking $90 every 2 weeks (apparently to extend the loan) instead of taking payment in full. They never sent me any e-mail, so I have no way to reach them, by mail or phone. Anyone have any info/advice? They come up as PDL Loan Center.

This is what you call a "verbal contract/agreement" which is absolutely bogus and Illegal. You need to revoke that $90 debit with your bank immediately or put your account on "deposit only" status. They will not stop and continue to debit your account.

Looks like you paid them $180 so far. All you owe them is $120 more and you are done. They will call as soon as they cannot get the funds.
