For once, a collector is calling not for me! :)

This is so funny, thought I would share.

For the past two weeks, I have been getting collection calls at work for a person that has never worked at my company. I keep telling the collector that they are calling a business, and no such person works there. Each day they get a bit ruder (they have refused to supply their name).

Well today, the same person that has called (her name is Jane) since Monday called again.

Me: "Look, Jane. I keep telling you that you are calling a business, and no such person works here!"

Jane: "Well, this is the number in our records, so I believe I am calling the right number.

Me: "Sorry, but I believe your records are wrong"

Jane: "I beleieve you are a liar".

Me: "Excuse me?!?!"

Jane: I know for a fact that you are so-and-so, the correct person I am looking for.

**And for once, it's not me!!!! :) **

Me: "Jane, each time you call I say the business name, and my first name. Isn't that a clue that you could be wrong?"

Jane: "Oh, I think your clever and know it's me calling."

Me: "Thanks for the compliement, but unfortunatly I am not a psychic and have no idea who is on the other line"

Jane: Perhaps your not pyschic, but psycho?

Me: WHAT?!?!?! (I really start laughing)

Jane then went on to verbally abuse me. She then went on to say that the police were right there in her office, listening to me refuse to pay my debt. They were leaving in a few minutes to come down and arrest me, unless I make a payment right that moment.

Me: "So, they have jails for people in debt now? Is that in the same jail they put incompetent morons? Perhaps we can share a jail cell? That would be fun! As long as I can have the top bunk."

A few more threats, Jane hangs up on me. So I had my IT department trace the phone number, and I call her back. She was a bit startled that I called her back.

Me: Listen Jane, I think I was wrong on our last conversation, and I want to apologize. If you want the top bunk, you can have it. But could I share it with you? I really need to be loved at night!"

....Click, for some reason she hung up!...

30 minutes later, I get a phone call from the same company, different person (Claire). I explained that I was speaking to Jane making "special arrangements", could I speak to her again? They were very happy to switch me over to her!

Me: Hey Jane! Guess what, Claire just called me. Are you really into threesomes? I think that is sooooooo hot! How about we meet after work? My husband would probably love to join as well. I have your address right here....

....Click, for some reason she hung up!...

45 minutes later, I get a phone call from a manager there. They were calling to inform me that upon further investigation, they realized the error and know that they have the wrong number, and would not be calling again. Would I please stop calling back?

So I said sure, absolutely. Just give Jane my love, and let her know that I am terribly upset that we didn't get to finish setting up our date for that night. I will be thinking of her!
