I received a call asking for my spouse (as if he lived there) at my work place. when she asked for a home phone number i told her there was nune ( witch is true ) she laughed and said she would call back the next day. my work place has a policy not to disclose phone numbers. if shes asking for him what should i tell her.. we live in Ohio.

Did they provide you with their phone number? Do you have caller ID? Google their phone number and IMMEDIATELY send them a letter stating they are calling a place of business, and no such person works there. They are to stop calling that number immediately. Also, you do not have to tell them that he is your spouse.

Make sure to send the letter Certified Return Receipt, and hold on to the green card you get back in the mail.

Once they are notified in writing that they can not contact a certain number, they are legally obligated to stop. The green card will be legal proof that they were notified of such.
