I have gotten a payday loan back in 06 I had some bank issues and they closed my account due to these payday loans, now in 08 I mysteriously start getting theses phone calls threating to come to my job and arrest me and press charges on me for this I mean I get at least 30 calls a day they are out of California and I am in pa the loan was 200 and I believe I paid 50 of that back before the issues with my bank I don't know what to do they keep telling me they will send someone to my job to arrest me they are causing problems at work to because they call there to although I demanded they not call there. Please help
Thank You

A cease and desist letter only applies to third party collectors. Unfortunately if the original creditor is calling you at home all you can do is not answer the phone. You can tell them not to call you at work and they must abide by that. I would go ahead and send them a cease and desist letter anyway, sometimes these pdl's will follow it, most times not, but it doesn't hurt to try. Just wanted to clarify that the law for cease and desist only applies to third party collectors. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. :)
