Have you recently applied for credit/pdl loan over the internet? When you apply with a loan "broker" they send your information to the lending houses, then, BINGO!!, they now have your information!!!
Scary!!! Do not give personal information out over the internet.

Another trick they sometimes use: They will check your Chexsy
Another trick they sometimes use:
They will check your Chexsystems report. This is a report many banks use to check your banking history. The pdl will see an inquiry for a bank, and use the contract you signed (giving them authorization to debit any account you are a signer on) and debit your account.
