How are pay day loans at cash places different from internet paydayloans? What if I  default on internet paydayloans? What will happen to me???..Will i go to jail?

follow the link in my signature below on how to deal with unlicensed illegal lenders by OhioGal.. it is step by step - no need to have to read through the whole forum to find the info.. it is all in one link here for you.. also still if you can tell us who your lenders are we can help you sort out who is legal and who isn't. You can not go to jail for any debt!

I am new to all of this but thought I would try and answer so that you get some piece of mind. From what I understand the storefront pay day loans are different because they are licensed and adhere to the state laws, like allowing payment plans and only charging a certain amount of interest. The online loans are not licensed and charge way more interest that what is allowed by any state. You will not go to jail for not paying an online pay day loan. Read through this forum to find out what you can do to get out of that loan. You should still pay the original amount loaned to you but no interest needs to be paid.

You can't go to jail for debt - it is civil not criminal. Some are licensed to lend in the states you are in others are not.. that is why some are legal and some aren't -- who do you have loans with?
