Unfortunately, I have several outstanding payday loans. Is there anything I can do to simply pay the principal balance and avoid the additional fees? I live in Illinois.

Depends on who your lenders are. Please state their names, how much you borrowed and how much you have repaid as of now.

State the name of your lenders first. You can pay the principal amount and avoid the additional fees only on the illegal payday loans.
