I respect a consumer who researches the services to which he/she uses. With that being said when you applied for and agreed to the terms of the loan it would have behooved you to read the complete contract you were agreeing to. You are a citizen of the state of Indiana, however the contract was not made in the state of Indiana. The contract was completed via the world wide web, the governing law (clearly outlined on page 4 of your contract) which you agreed to by your legal e-signature is based in the isle and providence of Nevis West Indies Bahamas. When you spoke with Nikki on 11/16/2007 at 2:44 p.m. cst she clearly outlined how the loan works and what the finance charges were, yet you still excepted the loan.
With all the information at hand I am still willing to work out arrangements for the principal that is still owed on your account. We will cease debiting finance charges, however the account will not be marked “Paid In Full†until the principal amount of $300.00 has been satisfied. You may contact our offices 8-5cst Monday-Friday. Our toll free phone # is 1-866-722-2770. Please advise or we will continue to debit the finance fees until we are given instructions to payoff or pay down your advance.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to call or email.
Thank you,
Nikki

Today I called our Banking Official at the Indiana Statehouse. What he told me about being "legal" was this:
If the PDL has a license in Indiana, it's legal.
If the PDL is an actual licensed bank anywhere in the US, the loan is legal.
If neither of the above is true, then the loan is null and void as the law passed in 2007.
