and now is with debt free Financial Group , a partner firm with American Financial Services. Both of these firms have one of the worst reps in the industry, an ex associate used to work with him and knows this. Thye whole debt settlement industry is shady, just BK instead and move on!

Information in it is not so encouraging.
But I don't think that bankruptcy is a better option to debt settlement. Bankruptcy not only ruins your credit score but remains in your credit report for 7 to 10 years. It thus mutilates your credit taking potential for a quite a long time which again is disastrous. I consider Debt settlement as the last resort to avoid bankruptcy.
