It is a tough one to say buddy. For selecting the right debt-settlement company, you have to shop around. Check out the reputation of the company from BBB (Better Business Bureau).

Some of the better ones that have very good reputations are New Beginnings debt settlement LLC , Century Negotiations and Superior debt relief. They are all members of the BBB and TASC or USOBA. They are not the only good ones but definitely some of the best ones out there.

I would definetely check with any state agencies regulating these companies in the states they operate out of. Sometimes BBB rating is not the best indicator. Check with your own state and see if there are any non profit agencies willing to help you.

Have you looked into settling your debt yourself? debt settlement can be costly and may not be the best alternative for you, Although most debt settlement programs will take you in simply to grab on to the retainer fee.

Whatever company you go with (if you decide to go with a company) - make sure you really research them and make sure they are not scamming people. I am sure there are some good ones out there but there are alot more that are scammers. Ask around and read up on them.

Please make sure they are legit. I got scammed and I would hate to see anyone else be taken for also.
