I have read quite a few different things on this site about what steps to take - I'll admit I'm a little clueless on what order to do things in. I am going to ask my bank to put a stop on ACH (I have a storefront too so I don't think I can just close my account). I bank with Wells Fargo if that makes any difference.

Well starkitten. . .your post made it! First off, Welcome to our forum. You have come to the right source for the advice you seek. I see that you have listed your PDLs, how much borrowed, how much paid back and that all are internet, expect one? Is that correct. Looks like some have been overpaid, and others not yet. If you could please list the state that you reside in, someone will post your laws and interpret them for you, if need be. Sorry, in all the time I have been here, I am still not comfortable posting and interpreting laws. . . .there are so many and some can be tricky. I leave that aspect of the PDL world to those who know. I don't want to advise someone wrongly. Anyway, you are right. You do have some lead time to work with your bank. Closing one's account is really the only way to stop the debits but I am not sure just how the storefront plays out in that situation or if there could be ramifications of doing so. You will have your answers in no time as this board seems to be constantly viewed by the members. Hang tight. Help is on the way.

hello and welcome, first you can close your account.the storefront you can invoke the EPP(extended payment plan)but
you must go in person and before your due date.once that is done you can close your account and deal with the internet
pdl's. what state are you in?if you could answer that it would
help greatly.again welcome, and don't worry everyone here has
experienced what you are,we can help you here.

paul. . .thanks for clarifying the closing of the account and storefront thing. As I said, I am not comfortable giving advice on those aspects so I always defer to someone who knows. With so many states and laws and rules I am never sure if I am giving the right facts. I think I'll stick to advising on things I know and things that have worked for me!

Thank you for the kind words. Let me tell you though, I was an absolute basket case when I came here in February. I didn't know which way to turn. These folks wouldn't let me get away with it for long. They set me on a path of self correction and once I got that bank account closed I took off like I was shot out of a cannon and I haven't stopped since! I reasearched for hours, dug and dug until I found what I was looking for and actually thanked God for the flu, as it gave me the time to do so. I applied the info I had gathered, took chances and it all paid off in the end. Now, my hope is that I can help others, the way I was helped when I thought I couldn't go any further. Never give up the fight. We have strength in unity and that is what it is all about. Someday PDLs will be distant memory for all of us. Thank you again, it's my pleasure.

One other thing - would it be better to put my checking account as credit only instead of ACH block? I can always go pay the storefront cash - that is what i always do anyway. I think that may be safer - I will just have to go to the bank to get cash - no big deal for me....

touch your money anymore.have you paid the storefront yet?
that is what i'm most concerned with.

I looked up all of these pdl's and this is what I came up with, based on the information here at this website. What I did was placed the name of the company in the search box located in the upper right hand corner of this forum, then a list of topics came up made by other members who have also dealt with them. This is another good way to locate addresses, you will eventually need the addresses of these pdl's so you can send payments by money order through the mail. I'm pretty sure the information I've supplied here is accurate, however, if someone else reads this and finds it incorrect, please jump in and correct me!! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
