Hello,
I expected a about $700.00 from the sale of an item and wrote multiple checks for other items; then the sale fell through. The checks bounced twice, we cashed in some comp time, but the bank charges ate that up, then the collection agency(s) started resending the checks through again and their $30.00 fines; so now we have the bank charging $15.00 every time... how many times can they resend those checks and fines? We aren't going to have any money for rent, or bills EVER if they keep going.

Hi

As the checks have been drawn in advance, the company will send it to your bank again and again in order to recover money from you.

If you do not arrange money, not only it will add up the bank charges but also, a lawsuit might be filed against you.

So, arranging the money will be your best option to prevent the unnecessary harassments. Do you wish to take a free counseling from the consultant? Could you not contact the businesses or people you wrote the checks to and explain and try to make arrangements to clear the checks up? I had a $500 check written to me that I deposited in my checking account bounce. This caused a couple oc checks I had written to bounce. I contacted the business and they let me pay for the checks. Not sure this would work for your situation.

Not all situations are the same every time. Some people will wait till your account has the funds and some won't. But it is always better to inform in advance about the situation to the company to whom the check has been drawn. Most probably, you might get some time to make arrangements.

Talk to the people to whom you have drawn the check. Try to arrange a solution instead of adding up with the financial charges. Otherwise, things will keep getting tougher at your end.

I hope that the recipient will be understanding enough and arrange something favorable to you.
