I am in California, does anyone know if AmeriLoac and the LoanShop are able to offer loans in California? I am having an issue with ameriloan as far as their fees are concerned. They keep telling me they are sending me payment e-mails, but at the three addresses I have provided I have received nothing and they keep taking fees nothing towards my balance. Any ideas?

Someone will be along shortly to post and interpret you State Laws and that should answer your questions. In the meantime could you list the amounts you borrowed on these loans, and how much you have paid back? I see that you are in California but could you also say if these are internet or storefront? This information will help in advising you.

Thanks Goudah. . .I knew that someone would be along to answer that question. I keep trying to make notes on this stuff for further reference but with all the different ins and outs, it's difficult. So I am assuming that those facts are something that should defintely be brought to ameriloan's attention? I know that I would be jumping on that ASAP. Is there some documentation regarding that C and D against Ameriloan posted somewhere? It might be helpful to have something in print for shellie.

Thank You So much!

I am totally lost now, I called them this morning to pay the debt in full but they will not allow me to and have charged me $180..0 in interest. How should I go about stopping the money from being taken and making them take my payment so I can be away from them?

I have a loan with LoanShop/Zurich and after visiting these forums and following the advice given I emailed them and they were the only one to give me an address to send the money to pay off the principal only. The other 6 well that is a different story. One of the worst is UnitedCashLoans, they just don't get it, even though my bank has repeatedly not honored the ACH debit requests, they still keep trying on a daily basis. But no NFS charges for them, thank God.

I also had problems in dealing with my bank but I was able to get a freeze on the account after I told the Branch manager what action I would take against the bank, also telling him that I really did not want to take such action and he was very quick to help me. This was with WAMU. As stated in other posts you just have to find the right person to talk to. It took me 2 to 3 weeks to find the right person.

Skis I had the same problem with WAMU they said it is impossible to close the account because it was overdrawn and they could not "Freeze" it. Imagine that, we are battling these payday monsters and you go to a bank thinking it would be a breeze to talk to somebody that speaks english face to face and its an issue as well.

I am currently having a problem with a company called Phoenix debt management or NRS. I paid a total of 440.00 in june to pay off a loan. Then they debited a total of 500.00 from my bank account (WAMU). I am now trying to dispute the transactions with the bank. I don't have any contact information for these people. I don't know what to do next. Can anyone help
