Hello - did they put just an ACH block only on your old account? Because unless the account is either closed altogether or on credit only status, these companies are able to find other ways to deduct the money from your account other than ACH withdrawals. Also, even if you have emptied your account of money to keep them from getting at it, they could instead take your account into the negative, and then you would owe money to your bank.
Just to be safe, I would double-check with your bank and make sure that if your old account is to remain open, make sure it is made to be CREDIT ONLY, so that absolutely no kind of withdrawals by either electronic or paper check means can be made.

I agree with Amaranth. If you only put an ACH block on your account, the loan companies will try to put through a paper check. Please close that old account as soon as you can.
You should also send the PDL a revocation so that if they should try to withdraw money from your old account, you have proof to provide to the bank that they weren't authorized. If the PDL does find your new account, then it would be fraudulent on their part to try and hit your new account b/c you have revoked the authorization. (Just make sure that you state in your letter...I hereby revoke your authorization to debit, charge or withdraw money on any bank account, now or in the future...) This way if they do try, you can file charges.

If you closed the account then there should be no further activity on it. However, you need to make sure that the bank will not force it open again if a transaction hits it. As paul said if your accounts are not linked then there should not be a cross reference for transactions. You might want to check with your bank on this as a double precaution especially if the block is for a particular debit only. Keep us posted.

NO i CLOSED OUT MY ACCOUNT AND THEY SAID THEY EVEN PUT A BLOCK ON THE CLOSED ACCOUNT AND THAT IT WILL NOT BE FORCED OPEN OR IT WILL BE FRAUD ON WHOEVER TRIED TO TAKE MONEY OUT OF IT.

I guess that want to make sure that their money is there and you know they are coming to get it. I used to get one from just about all my PDLs.

I do not know if they can do that or not, 500 fast cash does the same thing, I did not think these people can do that.
If they sent the email payment reminder after you revoked them,
If they sent the email payment reminder after you revoked them, then that is shady. Or either ther right hand is not talking to the left. But it is totaly normal for PDLs to send payment remider before due date. I got them all the time when I had PDLs.
If you have not sent them ACH revocation, then the PDLs are unaware that you blocked them.

if there is no link there should be no problem but i think it would be best if you keep proof to so your bank if they do try that they were not authorized to withdraw any money out of your account.

Question. . . why would you think that an email reminder of a payment due would be a no no. I am just curious as to that theory.
